John Brickson, Founder & Principal of McKinney Realty Capital, has ten years of experience in commercial real estate financing and investing. With over $750MM in financing volume across over 80 transactions, John has extensive experience arranging financing from various capital sources, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, banks, credit unions, mortgage REITs, and other private funding sources.
Before transitioning into debt placement in 2019, John was a commercial real estate lender with BMO Harris Bank in Chicago as well as Lone Star Funds and A10 Capital in Dallas. As a commercial real estate lender, John originated construction, bridge, and fixed-rate permanent loans across various property types across the US, including office, retail, industrial, self-storage, multifamily, and hospitality.
In addition to advising on commercial real estate financing, John actively invests in multifamily and industrial properties both as a passive limited partner and as a key principal. Originally from Kansas City, John graduated from DePauw University in 2011 with a BA in Economics.
